We made it home!
Today was a fucking LONG day. I couldn't stop waking up in the middle of the night, Derek finally got up and out of bed at about 6 am and went on a hunt that ended in nothing but spiders spiders spiders, we got a four hour late head start (but the leisurely pace of the morning felt awesome), we drove from Hilo to Kona in varying degrees of shitty weather, and then hung out at the airport for longer than we needed to, because it was a mother fucking ghost town.
It looks like this is going to be the first post that I post about Hawaii, and I expect the literal recaps will come in about...uh...a week. I have 2100 photos to cull.
I'm so happy to be home. I love to travel, but I think we stayed gone about two days longer than necessary.
.....and don't tell the other islands, but Oahu is the best one.
